You’ve perfectly captured the essence of London, and through your words, I felt transported back to the city. I used to live in Shoreditch, just a street away from Columbia Road Flower Market, and my weekends often revolved around London Fields, Broadway Market or Victoria Park. I absolutely loved this post — and I’m also adding a couple of the spots you shared to my list, as I’ve yet to visit them. Thank you for sharing and for making me time-travel a little <3

Thank you so much, Amandine! This seriously means everything to me!! I’m really happy to know that it transported you back to your time in London 🙏🏻

That part of the city is so special, it must have been amazing living so close by to Columbia Road! What were your favorite restaurants and cafes around there?

I absolutely loved living in this area, and you've highlighted so many great spots! Hermanos Colombian Coffee Roasters serves stunning coffee, and I’d often grab bread and pastries from Pavilion. Royal Oak is a great pub for food and drinks, and I also really enjoyed Birdcage's terrace when it’s sunny.

In the surrounding areas, you might already know some of these, but here are a few more recommendations. For cafes, Moko Made Cafe on Kingsland Road is perfect for a sweet treat, and I love Coffee Matters, Fuckoffee, and Holy Shot on Bethnal Green. Jolene and Allpress on Redchurch are also favourites, and Ozone Coffee at the Emma Street location has a lovely terrace (and stunning brunch options).

For food, I like Morito on Hackney Road, Smoking Goat, and Franze & Evans. London really has so much to offer – my mouth is watering just thinking about it haha!

Ooo that’s such a tough one - there are so many great bakeries in East London. If we are talking local to these ones then Forno. I had their rhubarb pastry and it was so tasty. But East London is also home to one of my favourite bakeries - Jolene!!! 🥰

Ahhh I love Jolene! Have you ever been for their dinner?

I haven't been to Forno in a while, sounds like I need to soon to ensure I can get that rhubarb pastry!!
