Chef Tim is immensely talented and also the most accommodating host. The whole experience was one to remember and will bring us back year after year. After reading your post, I'm reminded of the surprise fried courgette flowers dish and the pro-tips for finding Highland Cows. What an experience!
I found your post by accident and want to send you the biggest thank you for sharing about this!
My maternal grandmother’s entire lineage is from a small town in Scotland called Dunoon, near Glasgow. I visited with my husband in 2023 (it was his second time in Scotland) and we have been dying to go back. This Wild Dining experience is even more motivating!! ❤️
Kelsey, this absolutely makes my day to hear!!! So much so that I shared this with my husband and his response was short and sweet - "they HAVE to go!" I would highly, highly recommend the wild dining! On this trip we stayed in the center of Oban but you can also stay at an off-grid cabin on at Inverlonan which we are dying to go back and do!
We fell in love with the area, how special to have lineage from there! I just looked up Dunoon and it looks lovely. Did you drive past the 'Rest and Be Thankful' viewpoint on your way by any chance??
His birthday is in August and I'm going to see if I can financially swing a surprise trip for him. Thankfully, we aren't too far away in France!
I don't remember the Rest and Be Thankful sign, but I'm adding it to the list of reasons why we need to go back. I'll keep you updated! I hope you can go again and stay in one of their cabins. It looks like a total dream!

I really hope to return. It would be fun to go in a different season to see how the ingredients differ!
